Lingerie that you’re proud to see the back of!
As any woman who wears an underwire bra will tell you, taking it off at the end of the day is a relief.
When the girls are set free it feels SO GOOD!
While I’ve not yet had the opportunity to try out Liam’s new range personally, I love that Liam designer Emily Miller-Sharma worked with 50 women across the size 4-24 range while developing her debut collection of wireless bras and knickers.
Or as she cleverly puts, “it’s a edit that you are proud to see the back of” when wearing tops or dresses with low backs.

“The realisation moment came when I clocked that I had been essentially building in bras to the dresses and tops I was designing because I couldn’t find a bra that I was happy to wear with them – especially when they had a low back,” Emily explains. “I became obsessed with making bras that I would be proud to see the back of, and Liam Lingerie was born.”
She developed the initial samples on herself. Then a six-month fit and wear testing process ensued. Here are some of her insights.
- Bras are a close second to shoes as the first thing women take off when they get home.
- Some like it tight, some like it loose, and some like it both ways.
- There is a delicate balance between the fear, and the usefulness, of a tape measure.
- Over the six months, body measurements naturally fluctuated by up to a size.
- Who women were wearing their lingerie for depended on the day.
Subsequently “You do you” became her mantra when developing designs, fits and colours.

Liam Lingerie wireless bras are offered in low, medium and full support, with gold coloured anti-tarnish stainless steel hardware and a single cobalt coloured O ring. Back straps can adjust the under bust band by up to two sizes.

The knickers range from a recycled nylon mesh G-string, through to a full recycled cotton spandex brief. Emily’s personal favourite is a V-front knicker with a wide waistband featuring a scalloped lace edge.
